God commanding and making human sacrifice is a Biblical error.

Salam,

The concept of offering a sacrifice is treated as one if not as the highest form of adoration in which a patronage is done in the name of religion doing the act of offering something to a deity in propitiation or homage, especially the ritual slaughter of an animal or a person. The offer of a victim is in acknowledgment of God’s supreme dominion and of total human dependence on God. In sacrifice the gift offered is something precious completely surrendered by the one making the sacrifice as a token of humble recognition of God’s sovereignty.

Animal sacrifice in most religions has been an accepted part of traditions. All ancient cultures had some sort of ritual sacrifice that was a part of their customs. The basic idea behind sacrificing an animal and presenting it to the Gods is a way to please them or thank them for their kindness.

Muslims offering of sacrifice originate from the command of Allah to do the duty to perform the annual pilgrimage as stated in Surah 22:27-28 “And proclaim the Pilgrimage among men: they will come to thee on foot and (mounted) on every kind of camel, lean on account of journeys through deep and distant mountain highways; “That they may witness the benefits (provided) for them, and celebrate the name of Allah, through the Days appointed, over the cattle which He has provided for them (for sacrifice): then eat ye thereof and feed the distressed ones in want.

Apart from the people of the scriptures offering sacrifice on animals, in the pre-Columbian era, there were human sacrifice in Mayan culture and this was the ritual offering of nourishment to the gods. Then, blood was viewed as a potent source of nourishment for the Mayan deities, and the sacrifice of a living creature was a powerful blood offering.

However, in all the rituals of sacrifice it is only human that make or offer sacrifice to a deity but not the other way around as any God is considered the Mighty and is the source of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual values. Thus, Gods obviously had never or will never make or sacrifice on His creators. Such is in Islam, Allah never did and will never do any sacrifice because He is God and as God Almighty, He is free of wants as stated in Surah 35:15 O ye men! It is ye that have need of Allah: but Allah is the One Free of all wants, worthy of all praise. In another verse of the Quran it is stated in Surah 31:26 To Allah belong all things in heaven and earth: verily Allah is He free of all wants, worthy of all praise. Thus, not only it is a falsehood to ascribe Allah to do sacrifice, He never even commanded His servants anytime or anywhere to offer human sacrifice in return for his salvation or any form of religious reparations.

On the contrary there is evidence that Yahweh, the God of the Israelites in the Bible commanded His servant to make a human offering in order to test how deep the servant’s love for his son compared of his love for God.

This is stated in Genesis 22:2 And he said, take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

If one were to compare this story of Abraham and his son in the Bible to that of the Quran, it is entirely a different perspective and situation as Allah has no part in demanding such devotion from Abraham to the extension of commanding him to sacrifice his son. In the Quran Abraham had a dream as stated in Surah 37:102 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: “O my son! I see in my dream that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!” (The son) said: “O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!”

The dream clearly stated that he was to sacrifice his son by putting the son’s head on the ground and that was the sight of the dream which he demonstrated as shown in Surah 37:103 “So when they had both submitted their wills, and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice)”. This was the dream Abraham had and as can be seen from evidence in the Quran there is no such command from Allah to Abraham in his dream to sacrifice his son but the reason Abraham still proceed to sacrifice his own son is because his own soul that urged him to do so. The soul played an evil part is not a rare case as it happened in the example of Samiri who was the person responsible for the creation of the golden calf and his excuse when he was being asked he answered in Surah 20:95-96 Moses said: “What then is thy case, O Samiri?” He replied: “I saw what they saw not: so, I took a handful of dust from the footprint of the Messenger, and threw it into the calf: thus, did my soul suggest to me.” And in another example in the case of one of the sons of Adam in Surah 5:27-30 Recite to them the truth of the story of the two sons of Adam. Behold! they each presented a sacrifice (to Allah) It was accepted from one, but not from the other. Said the latter: “Be sure I will slay thee.” “Surely,” said the former, “(Allah) doth accept of the sacrifice of those who are righteous. “If thou dost stretch thy hand against me, to slay me, it is not for me to stretch my hand against thee to slay thee: for I do fear Allah, the cherisher of the worlds. “For me, I intend to let thee draw on thyself my sin as well as thine, for thou wilt be among the companions of the fire, and that is the reward of those who do wrong.” The (selfish) soul of the other led him to the murder of his brother: he murdered him, and became (himself) one of the lost ones.

Nevertheless, the stories of Samiri and the sons of Adam in relation to that of Abraham give different outcome in that Allah did not stop Samiri or the son of Adam from what their soul urged them to do but He saved Abraham because Abraham was a good man. He was a good man in Surah 4:125 Who can be better in religion than one who submits his whole self to Allah, does good, and follows the way of Abraham the true in Faith? For Allah did take Abraham for a friend. And in Surah 16:120 Abraham was indeed a model, devoutly obedient to Allah, (and) true in Faith, and he joined not gods with Allah. Allah prevented Abraham of committing the sacrifice because he was a good man but penalised him to sacrifice an animal instead and in the Day of Judgment he will be rewarded as stated in Surah 37:104-111 We called out to him “O Abraham! “Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!” – thus indeed do We reward those who do right. For this was obviously a trial. And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: And We left (this blessing) for him among generations (to come) in later times: “Peace and salutation to Abraham!” Thus, indeed do We reward those who do right. For he was one of our believing Servants. That was the dream Abraham had putting his son head on the ground to be sacrificed and Allah confirmed he had fulfilled his dream doing just that.

On the contrary the story was never a dream but the command from Yahweh was real, in Genesis 22:9-12 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son. And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, here am I. And he said, lay not thine hand upon the lad, neither do thou anything unto him: for now I know that thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld thy son, thine only son from me.

As can be seen the God of the Bible gave real command to Abraham but later retract it while in the Quran it was only a dream of Abraham which his soul urge him to manifest but Allah prevented it considering he was a good man.

And in another incident in the Bible the Father, the God of the Christians instead of demanding a sacrifice from His servants as happened in Genesis 22:2 make a sacrifice Himself of His son Jesus to be crucified on the Cross to absorb the sins of sinners in this world as stated in John 3:16-17 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. And Jesus was sacrificed was also mentioned in 1Corithians 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.

The Bible and the Quran therefore shows contrasting action of human and God in the origin of sacrifice for salvation which is the cleaning of the soul from sin and its consequences of sin and its effects to lead a pious life. The role of blood from the subjects of sacrifice is therefore treated differently by the various beliefs that leads to various rituals.

In the Bible blood plays a major role in the Old Testament. On the first Passover in Exodus 12:1-13, the blood of a lamb was posted on the top and sides of each door frame as a sign that death had already taken place, so the Angel of Death would pass over. And once a year on the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), the high priest would enter the Holy of Holies to offer a blood sacrifice to atone for the sins of the people. The blood of a bull and of a goat was sprinkled on the altar. The life of the animal was poured out, given on behalf of the life of the people. When God cut a covenant treaty with his people at Sinai, Moses took the blood of oxen and sprinkled half of it on the altar and half on the people of Israel. (Exodus 24:6-8)

The Christian have a different notion is that blood signifies the supreme offering to God. God’s holiness and justice demand that sin be punished. The only penalty or payment for sin is eternal death. The offering of an animal and even our own death are not sufficient sacrifices to pay for sin. Atonement requires a perfect, spotless sacrifice, offered in just the right way. Jesus Christ, the one perfect God-man, came to offer the pure, complete and everlasting sacrifice to make payment for human sin. In the New Testament, the blood of Jesus Christ, therefore, becomes the foundation for God’s new covenant of grace. At the Last Supper, Jesus said to his disciples in Luke 22:20 Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, this cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.

However, in the Quran blood from sacrifices does not play an important role in any ritual as long the animals were slaughtered with the name of Allah being mentioned. Ultimately it is the meat that is distributed to feed the poor is the basis of the souls being purified as described in Surah 22:36-37 And the camels and cattle We have appointed for you as among the symbols of Allah; for you therein is good. So, mention the name of Allah upon them when lined up [for sacrifice]; and when they are [lifeless] on their sides, then eat from them and feed the needy and the beggar. Thus, have We subjected them to you that you may be grateful. Their meat will not reach Allah, nor will their blood, but what reaches Him is piety from you. Thus, have We subjected them to you that you may glorify Allah for that to which He has guided you; and give good tidings to the doers of good.

Explaining Surah 10:94 whether to ask the Christians and Jews

Salam,

Many Christians claims that the Quran at Surah 10:94 tells Muslims to ask People of Book that is Christians and Jews if they are in doubt about their Quran. This means according to the Christians and Jews, Muslims have to make reference to them based on the verse as people who received the scriptures earlier. What is stated is that in Surah 10:94 So, if you are in doubt, (O Muhammad), about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you. The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters

If one read in earnest the above verse, one can see in actual fact the verse contained two sentences which have to be approached astutely. The basic concept of the content of the above verse at Surah 10:94 is actually to assess the level of confidence of the Prophet in particular and the Muslims in general in believing on their own scripture the Quran. If the Prophet or a Muslim is a doubter in his own book the Quran, based on the first sentence of the verse of Surah 10:94 which says “So, if you are in doubt, about that which We have revealed to you, then ask those who have been reading the Scripture before you,” If one is a doubter of his Quran then, he will logically ask the people who have been reading the scriptures before him it can be the Christians or the Jews with their respective scriptures  the Bible or the Torah.

On the contrary, the Prophet and true Muslims who have no hesitancy on the Quran as the truth from Allah will not be of the doubters, and thus they will not be in the category of those who will ask those who have been reading the scriptures before them for the simple reason as the next sentence being quoted in the same Surah 10:94 is “The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so never be among the doubters.” So from the Surah 10:94 one have the option to be among the doubters or among the believers of the Quran!

Furthermore, based on evidences in other parts of the Quran, the Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) was never in doubt whatever of the truth sent to him of the Quran and also of those who believed with him. Thus, they will never be and have not been in the category of those who dispute or of those who ask anything from people who have been reading the Scriptures before them whether it being the Jews or the Christians as they are confident the Quran is the Truth over previous scriptures. It is the Quran that contained the message of truth as it is stated in Surah 3:60 The truth is from your Lord, so be not of the disputers. And the Prophet Muhammad and  true Muslims with knowledge will obey what is being commanded in Surah 3:60 quoted above and of Surah 13:37 And thus have We revealed it, a true judgment in Arabic, and if you follow their low desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you shall not have against Allah any guardian or a protector.

The Prophet Muhammad was never in anyway doubtful of the truth of his religion and had never consult anything from any Jew or Christian for any matter on religion, all have been received by inspiration from Allah as stated in Surah 10:104-109 Say: “O ye men! If ye are in doubt as to my religion, I worship not what ye worship, other than Allah. But I worship Allah – Who will take your souls at death: I am commanded to be of the Believers, “And further (thus): ‘set thy face towards religion with true piety, and never in any wise be of the Unbelievers; ‘Nor call on any, other than Allah. Such will neither profit thee nor hurt thee: if thou dost, behold! thou shalt certainly be of those who do wrong.’ If Allah do touch thee with hurt, there is none can remove it but He: if He do design some benefit for thee, there is none can keep back His favour: He cause it to reach whomsoever of His servants He please. And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.  Say: “O ye men! Now Truth hath reached you from your Lord! those who receive guidance, do so for the good of their own souls; those who stray, do so to their own loss: and I am not (set) over you to arrange your affairs.” Follow thou the inspiration sent unto thee, and be patient and constant, till Allah do decide: for He is the best to decide.

It was only the wish of the disbelievers that the Prophet invent something else for himself other than the inspiration sent to him but he did not lose his focus as stated in Surah 7:203 And when you bring them not a revelation they say: Why do you not forge it? Say: I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord; these are clear proofs from your Lord and a guidance and a mercy for a people who believe. Furthermore, it is stated for believers not be of the doubters but to believe in the truth in Surah 47:2-3 But those who believe and work deeds of righteousness, and believe in the (Revelation) sent down to Muhammad – for it is the Truth from their Lord, He will remove from them their ills and improve their condition. This because those who reject Allah follow vanities, while those who believe follow the Truth from their Lord: Thus, does Allah set forth for men their lessons by similitudes.

The other evidence and criteria that the Prophet Muhammad and Muslims will not ask or refer to the people who have been reading previous scriptures is that the Quran is the “guardian” or “supervisor” over previous scriptures in whatever truth there is left in those scriptures as stated in Surah 5:48 To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding (Muhaiminan) it in safety: so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee.

So, there is no necessity to ask the people who have been reading previous scriptures if one is a believer and not a doubter of the Quran as there is also a guaranty from Allah that the Quran is free of crookedness and it is a protected book from falsehood –

Surah 41:42 No falsehood can approach it from before or behind it: It is sent down by One Full of Wisdom, Worthy of all Praise.

Surah 15:9 We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption).

Surah 19:28 exposed the falsified Genealogy of Jesus in the Bible

Salam,

This article is to compare the genealogy of Jesus according to the Quran and the Bible. Since both religions believe that Jesus was borne of a miracle without the intervention of male partner it means that there is no genealogy on his father’s side. This narrative is looking on how a genealogy is established by both religions according to their scriptures.

It can be taken for granted that there is no genealogy of Jesus whether as the Son of God or as the Son of Joseph because God has no genealogy and Joseph was not the biological father to Jesus and thus whatever there is it has been fabricated by Christians of their Bible as stated in –

Matthew 1:18-21: Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. 20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.

And in Luke 1:30-35 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore, also, that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

It can be seen. not only there is no genealogy through his father’s side since Jesus was borne of a miracle, but it is also known that there is neither a geology on his mother’s side being established in the Bible because her father Joachim was, according to some apocryphal writings, the husband of Saint Anne and the father of Mary, the mother of Jesus lack historical information on him. The story of Joachim and Anne first appears in the apocryphal Gospel of James. Joachim and Anne are not mentioned in the bible. His feast day is 26 July according to Wikipedia

Thus, this exposed the falsified genealogy of Mary borrowed from that of Joseph who is clearly pointed out as descendant of David in both genealogies. On the other hand, New Testament sources are silent about Mary’s descendance from David. However, through her marriage with Joseph she enters his family and legally becomes, she and her son Jesus, a part of the House of David.

So apart from the fallacy of fabricating Jesus and Mary genealogy based on Joseph’s side, it resulted in inconsistences and the proof that the genealogy having been fabricated resulted in clear contradictions in the Bible itself. The Bible which is believed to be from God should not have contradiction but here it is –

The New Testament provides two accounts of the genealogy of Jesus, one in the Gospel of Matthew and another in the Gospel of Luke.  Matthew starts with Abraham, while Luke begins with Adam. The lists are identical between Abraham and David, but differ radically from that point. Matthew has twenty-seven generations from David to Joseph, whereas Luke has forty-two, with almost no overlap between the names on the two lists notably, the two accounts also disagree on who Joseph’s father was: Matthew says he was Jacob, while Luke says he was Heli.

However, The Quran apart of exposing the fallacies of the Bible can also trace the genealogy of Jesus through Mary his mother’s side and that is why he is referred as the Son of Mary not as the Son of God or the Son of Joseph as stated  in Surah 5:72 They do blaspheme who say: “Allah is Christ the son of Mary.” But said Christ: “O Children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” Whoever joins other gods with Allah, He will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help.

The genealogy of Jesus therefore is solely from his mother side because he was borne of a miracle without a father as stated in Surah 3:47 She said: “O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?” He said: “Even so: Allah create what He will: When He hath decreed a plan, He but saith to it, ‘Be,’ and it is!

Furthermore, in the Quran, Mary genealogy can be traced to be related to Aaron not as a biological sister but as relative or the descendant of Aaron as stated in Surah 19:28 “O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!”

However, there is some who dispute whether the word “sister” is to mean biological sister in the Quran but this can be discarded as there are proofs that Mary is not the biological sister of Aaron and that the man Aaron the brother of Moses was never a contemporary of Zakariya who had a son named Yahya or John at Surah 19:7 O Zakariya! We give you good news of a son: His name shall be Yahya. On the other hand, Mary the mother of Jesus was a contemporary to Zakariya as he was the one who was given the assignment to take care of Mary as stated in Surah 3:37 Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in purity and beauty: To the care of Zakariya was she assigned.

This proven that Mary lived the same time as Zakariya and not at the time of Moses and therefore not the biological sister of Aaron.

Also, in addition, Mary’s mother is not the wife of Imran as some had wrongly translated but a woman of Imran at Surah 3:35 Behold! a woman of ‘Imran said: “O my Lord! I do dedicate unto Thee what is in my womb for Thy special service: So, accept this of me: For Thou hear and know all things.” The true translation of being the woman of the family of Imran is based on the preceding verse at Surah 3:33 is talking about the family or people of Imran and the family or people of Abraham and not of the person Imran or Abraham as stated “Allah did choose Adam and Noah, the family of Abraham, and the family of ‘Imran above all people.” Those who translated it to be “wife of Imran” is therefore in error.

The Quran also confirmed more detail in that Mary is also a descendent from the family of Aaron and not from the family of Moses as the Quran indicated instead of one lineage for Aaron and Moses there were actually two lineage that of Aaron and Moses as stated in Surah 2:248 And (further) their Prophet said to them: “A Sign of his authority is that there shall come to you the Ark of the covenant, with (an assurance) therein of security from your Lord, and the relics left by the family of Moses and the family of Aaron, carried by angels. In this is a symbol for you if ye indeed have faith.”

Mary is therefore connected to Aaron not as a biological sister but as a relative just as some verses of the Quran referred to brothers in which it does not necessarily mean biological brothers but relatives!  It is stated in the Surah 6:87 (To them) and to their fathers, and progeny and brethren: We chose them, and we guided them to a straight way. And in another example also, being mentioned at Surah 7:65 To the ‘Ad people, (We sent) Hud, one of their own brethren: He said: O my people! worship Allah! ye have no other god but Him will ye not fear (Allah)?”

In conclusion, Aaron cannot then be the biological sister to Mary the mother of Jesus because Aaron the brother Moses is not contemporary as those who live with Zakariya, John, Jesus, Mary and her mother “A woman of Imran”. The truth is Mary genealogy can be traced more accurately from the Quran than from the Bible.

Surah 3:60 The Truth (comes) from Allah alone; so be not of those who doubt.

Jesus Is Dead There Is No Second Coming.

Salam,

There is lot of talk whether from the Muslim or Christian sources that Jesus A.S is coming into this world a second time for their own various beliefs. However, there are clear evidences in the Quran that there in no second coming by the fact that he is dead and only will appear again on the Day of Resurrection.

The argument that whether Jesus is coming back or not is based on the interpretation of this verse of the Quran which says –

Surah 4:157 That they said (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah”; but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-

According to Muslim sources especially from the Hadith, Allah saved Jesus from death of crucifixion by raising him up temporarily and on a specific date in the future Allah will send him back into this world. Muslims believe that Jesus will return at the end of time and will clear all the confusion prevailing in the world regarding his life and mission.

However, controversy is being raised especially the Christians who believed that Jesus died on the Cross by crucifixion but was resurrected after three days and live again until now. They claimed that if the Muslims believed that Jesus did not died then who was crucified on the Cross? Some Muslim sources make the excuse that Jesus was replaced by another man who looked alike but that was not a convincing conclusion as there is no historical or social facts to support such claim.

Nevertheless, the information in the Surah 4:157 which says “but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them” can give an interpretation to save Jesus Allah create a delusion of the image of Jesus while saving the real Jesus. This is not an impossibility to Allah as He is capable of creating “mirage” as those who stranded in the desert think that it was water –

Surah 24:39 But the Unbelievers,- their deeds are like a mirage in sandy deserts, which the man parched with thirst mistakes for water; until when he comes up to it, he finds it to be nothing: But he finds Allah (ever) with him, and Allah will pay him his account: and Allah is swift in taking account.

With the “mirage” evidences from the Quran showing that he was saved by Allah from being crucified on the Cross at Surah 4:157, he was not the only one being saved at a critical moment as Allah also saved Jonah from death in the fish tummy or Abraham from the raging fire in the following verses of the Quran –

Surah 21:87-88 And [mention] the man of the fish, when he went off in anger and thought that We would not decree [anything] upon him. And he called out within the darkness, “There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.” So, We responded to him and saved him from the distress. And thus, do We save the believers.

Surah 21:68-69 They said, “Burn him and support your gods – if you are to act.” Allah said, “O fire, be coolness and safety upon Abraham.”

Although all of them were saved, in which showing Jesus from crucifixion, Jonah in the fish tummy and Abraham from the fire, they all died soon after on natural reason as no man is created immortal as stated in these verses –

Surah 21:34 And We did not grant to any man before you, eternity [on earth]; so, if you die – would they be eternal?

Surah 39:30 Truly thou wilt die (one day), and truly they (too) will die (one day).

As for Jesus although he was saved from crucifixion, other evidences given in the Quran he is now dead and will only come back as any other on the Day of Resurrection as proven by these verses –

Surah 19:33 “So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)”!

Surah 3:55 Behold! Allah said: “O Jesus! I will make you die (mutawaffika) and raise you to Myself and clear you (of the falsehoods) of those who blaspheme; I will make those who follow you superior to those who reject faith, to the Day of Resurrection: Then shall you all return unto me, and I will judge between you of the matters wherein you dispute.

And Jesus is dead today and not in heaven to come back a second coming as it is clear from the evidence below he is a mortal –

Surah 5:116-117And behold! Allah will say: “O Jesus the son of Mary! Did thou say unto men, worship me and my mother as two gods in derogation of Allah’?” He will say: “Glory to Thee! never could I say what I had no right to say. Had I said such a thing, thou would indeed have known it. Thou know what is in my heart, Thou I know not what is in Thine. For Thou know in full all that is hidden. Never said I to them aught except what Thou did command me to say, to wit, ‘worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord’; and I was a witness over them while I dwelt among them; when Thou make me die Thou was the Watcher over them, and Thou art a witness to all things.

To conclude, if Jesus is alive this day, he would have witnessed billions of Christians worshipping him but he said in the hereafter he did not witness that or he is among mankind here and now but it is Allah that is the witness and is the watcher over human kind. Jesus is only a man and not god –

Surah 5:72 They do blaspheme who say: “Allah is Christ the son of Mary.” But said Christ: “O Children of Israel! worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.” Whoever joins other gods with Allah, Allah will forbid him the garden, and the Fire will be his abode. There will for the wrong-doers be no one to help.

Surah 5:75 Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth!

Quran Surah 62:9-10 is rectifying the Jewish Sabbath

Salam,

In Judaism, God is understood to be the absolute one, indivisible, and incomparable being who is the ultimate cause of all existence. Judaism holds that YHWH, the god of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and the national god of the Israelites, delivered the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, and gave them the Law of Moses at biblical Mount Sinai as described in the Torah. In appreciation of this freedom from slavery the Jews fabricated a day to be a “holy” day in which they can dedicate it solely to God. They coined the day as the “Sabbath Day” in which the word “Sabbath” is related to a Hebrew root that means “cease” or “stop.” They claimed that God commanded His people to cease from their labor, so they could rest, refresh, and refuel. He had set His people free from slavery in Egypt. As children of God, they were no longer bound to work non-stop like slaves. God gave them the gift of rest, a day to cease from working and to honor Him. In the Old Testament, Jews followed the pattern of setting apart the seventh day to keep it holy as God rested and so they were to rest and to give this day solely for God.

Sabbath is first mentioned in the Genesis creation narrative, where the seventh day is set aside as a day of rest and made holy by God as stated in Genesis 2:1-3 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. The day was an observation and remembrance of Sabbath and is treated as one of the Ten Commandments. Most people who observe the Sabbath regard it as having been instituted as a perpetual covenant for the Israelites and in Exodus 31:13-17 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defiles it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

In addition it is stated in Exodus 35:1-3 And Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said unto them, these are the words which the LORD hath commanded, that ye should do them. Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you a holy day, a Sabbath of rest to the LORD: whosoever doeth work therein shall be put to death. Ye shall kindle no fire throughout your habitations upon the Sabbath day. Further in Leviticus 23:3 Six days shall work be done: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of rest, a holy convocation; ye shall do no work therein: it is the Sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings. And in Deuteronomy 5:14 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, nor any of thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates; that thy manservant and thy maidservant may rest as well as thou. Even fishing and commerce in fish were prohibited as stated in Nehemiah 13:16-18 There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the Sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem. Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, what evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the Sabbath day? Did not your father thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? Yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the Sabbath.

However in the Bible Jesus have a different view and take different actions during the Sabbath day as stated in Matthew 12:1-2 At that time Jesus went on the Sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the Sabbath day. And in Mark 2:27-28 And he said unto them, the Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath: Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the Sabbath. And further in Mark 3:2-4 And they watched him, whether he would heal him on the Sabbath day; that they might accuse him. And he saith unto the man which had the withered hand, Stand forth. And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the Sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life or to kill? But they held their peace. It can be deduced that even Jesus according to the Bible had reservation on the stringent laws of the Jewish Sabbath that he violated some of its ruling.

Nevertheless the Sabbath remain intact as there was no record that Jesus or anyone ever changed the day of Sabbath for those who follow him but it is stated that there was no change made from the Sabbath to Sunday in the time of the apostles. However, after the death of the apostles, Sunday was substituted for the Sabbath day through the commandment of men, but not by any commandment of God. It is possible that the transfer may have taken place gradually after the death of the apostles, but concerning secular or church legislation history records the following: “Unquestionably the first law, either ecclesiastical or civil, by which the sabbatical observance of Sunday is known to have been ordained is the sabbatical edict of Constantine, A.D. 32I “Chambers’ Encyclopaedia, Article “Sunday.” Here is the first Sunday Law in history, a legal enactment by Constantine 1 (reigned 306-331): “On the Venerable Day of the Sun [“venerabili die Solis”–the sacred day of the Sun] let the magistrates and people residing in cities rest, and let all workshops be closed. In the country, however, persons engaged in agriculture may freely and lawfully continue their pursuits; because it often happens that another day is not so suitable for grain-sowing or for vine-planting; lest by neglecting the proper moment for such operations the bounty of heaven should be lost–Given the 7th day of March, [A.D. 321], Crispus and Constantine being consuls each of them for the second time.” The First Sunday Law of Constantine 1, in “Codex Justinianus,” lib. 3, tit. 12, 3; trans. in Phillip Schaff “History of the Christian Church,” Vol. 3, p. 380. What did Constantine’s law require? “Let all the judges and town people, and the occupation of all trades rest on the venerable day of the sun; but let those who are situated in the country, freely and at full liberty attend to the business of agriculture; because it often happens that no other day is so fit for sowing corn and planting vines; lest the critical moment being let slip, men should lose the commodities granted by Heaven.” Translated from the original edict in Latin, now in Harvard College U.S.A. Constantine’s empire was predominantly for Sun worship, so this was not a law to favor Christianity, but rather the “venerable day of the sun”, which was the day of the dominating sun worship religion of that time he synagogues every sabbath day.

Church Legislation for changing the Sabbath to Sunday

The Church of that day, then followed suit, and legislated on Sunday worship at the Council of Laodicea. “The Council of Laodicea … forbids Christians from judaizing and resting on the Sabbath day, preferring the Lord’s day, and so far as possible resting as Christians.” Encyclopaedia Britannica, 1899 Edition, Vol. XXIII, page 654. Here is the first Sunday Law decree of a Christian council. It was given about 16 years after Constantine’s first Sunday Law of A.D. 321: “Christians shall not Judaize and be idle on Saturday [in the original: “sabbato” shall not be idle on the Sabbath], but shall work on that day; but the Lord’s day they shall especially honor, and as being Christians, shall, if possible, do no work on that day. If, however, they are found Judaizing, they shall be shut out [“anathema,”–excommunicated] from Christ.” Council of Laodicea, c. A.D. 337, Canon 29, quoted in C.J. Hefele, “A History of the Councils of the Church,” Vol. 2, p. 316. By the term “Judaize” they mean keeping the Sabbath day. By the term “the Lord’s day” they mean Sunday, which seems to have become a term for that day, although there is no scriptural basis for calling it so.

On the contrary when Prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) came and brought in the message of the Quran there is no concept or belief of Allah ever rest. Resting is a false notion of God as the attribute of God is He never tire, or weary, or fatigue, or exhaust as stated in Surah 50:38 We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in Six Days, nor did any sense of weariness touch Us. And in Surah 46:33 See they not that Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth, and never wearied with their creation, is able to give life to the dead? Yea, verily He has power over all things. As such in the Quran there is no command to make a day in a week special or “holy” and to attribute it solely for the worship or for the remembrance of Allah and making it a crime for those who do other work or business activities other than this just because the former people believed that God rested on the seventh day. The Quran teaches that Allah does not sleep or take a nap and therefore there is no necessity to cease work on that particular day and dedicate it to do duty only to God. This is His description as stated in Surah 2:255 Allah! There is no god but He the Living, the Self-subsisting, Eternal. No slumber can seize Him or sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permit? He know what (appear to His creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He will. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory).

To show the Jews that their fabrication of making the Sabbath day into a “Holy Day” just for the dedication to God, Allah tested them as stated in Surah 7:163 Ask them concerning the town standing close by the sea. Behold! They transgressed in the matter of the Sabbath. For on the day of their Sabbath their fish did come to them, openly holding up their heads, but on the day they had no Sabbath, they came not: thus did We make a trial of them, for they were given to transgression. For the violation and transgression of the Sabbath by the Jews Allah showed in the Quran what a reality “Sabbath” should be, that men on that particular day should not neglect God but at the same time should not also neglect his responsibility to earn a living as stated in Surah 62: 9-10 O ye who believe! When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday (the Day of Assembly), hasten earnestly to the Remembrance of Allah, and leave off business (and traffic): That is best for you if ye but knew! And when the Prayer is finished, then may ye disperse through the land, and seek of the Bounty of Allah and celebrate the Praises of Allah often (and without stint): that ye may prosper. Thus this is the description of the “Real Sabbath” that Allah does not need a complete day to be “Holy” solely for His dedication and that man should not “rest” and do away with any of his daily business just to fulfill that dedication to God just because God rested on the seventh day. A “resting day” for man should be dedicated to himself and his family and the society should enjoyed the peace atmosphere and there should be no restriction to whatsoever he pleases to enjoy the day with his family and friends. A day of congregation in the Quran at Surah 62:9 therefore should not be fulfilled on a holiday when man rested but should be on a day when they are doing their daily work and their business and just a moment of his time is needed to allocate to do the prayer of remembrance of Allah as He had commanded. It is preposterous to think of a God who treats those who did not respect his “Holyday” or rest day by doing some simple activities, as criminals and deserved the death penalty! This is to show that it is a falsehood to have a “Holy Day” for God as He does not need a rest day but man does need a “holiday” a rest day for himself.

Surah 22:78 And strive for Allah with the striving due to Him. He has chosen you and has not placed upon you in the religion any difficulty. [It is] the religion of your father, Abraham. Allah named you “Muslims” before [in former scriptures] and in this [revelation] that the Messenger may be a witness over you and you may be witnesses over the people. So establish prayer and give the alms and hold fast to Allah. He is your protector; and excellent is the protector, and excellent is the helper.

Surah 4:47 O ye People of the Book! Believe in what We have (now) revealed, confirming what was (already) with you, before We change the face and fame of some (of you) beyond all recognition, and turn them hind wards, or curse them as We cursed the Sabbath-breakers, for the decision of Allah must be carried out.

Quran confirms the Bible and act as a guardian over it.

Salam,

The Quran and Previous Scriptures

The Quran, the central religious text of Islam, contain many references of people personalities and events also found in the Bible. While the events and individual narrations told in each book are generally comparable, important differences sometimes emerge. The versions written in the Hebrew Bible and the Christian New Testament predate the Quran’s versions archaeologically. As such, non-Muslims regard the Quran’s versions as being derived directly or indirectly from the earlier materials. It is very important to remember that Muslims understand the Quran’s versions to be witness accounts from an omnipotent God. As such, Muslims generally hold that the earlier versions are distorted through flawed processes of transmission and interpretation, and understand the Quran’s versions to be more accurate to the actual events. The Muslims believed that the Quran is more reliable as the original language Arabic is maintained and there are guaranty the Book is protected by Allah as stated in Surah 15:9 We have, without doubt, sent down the Message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption). And there is the belief there is no distortion as defined in Surah 39:28 (It is) a Qur’an in Arabic, without any crookedness (therein): in order that they may guard against Evil.

One of the verses that reveal the Quran confirms previous scriptures and act as a “guardian” or as a “criterion” over it is stated in Surah 5:48-49 To thee (O Muhammad) We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, and guarding it in safety: so judge between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, diverging from the Truth that hath come to thee. To each among you have we prescribed a law and an open way. If Allah had so willed, He would have made you a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah. It is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute; And this (He commands): Judge thou between them by what Allah hath revealed, and follow not their vain desires, but beware of them lest they beguile thee from any of that (teaching) which Allah hath sent down to thee. And if they turn away, be assured that for some of their crime it is Allah’s purpose to punish them. And truly most men are rebellious.

Nevertheless for this article the content of some of the books on event and personalities will be concentrated on the Quran and the New Testament Bible as many Muslims and Christians are unaware how the Quran make a claim that it confirms previous scriptures whereas the Christians believe much of the Quran is plagiarized from the stories of their Bible. Here I will present the most familiar personality to both the books to see how each book narrate the account of Mary the Mother of Jesus. Then one can form his own judgment which of the two gives more credible information to the truth of the story.

The narration on Mary the Mother of Jesus

First let us compare and examine who is Mary the Mother of Jesus and who is the parent of this Mary. Although the Quran did not elaborate in detail with a genealogical diagram of her family’s ancestry it is enough to know she was from a reputable family and a very good person. Here one can see that the Quran confirms that there is a Mary who was from the Family of Imran as stated in Surah 3:33-36 Allah did choose Adam and Noah, the family of Abraham, and the family of ‘Imran above all people, Offspring, one of the other: And Allah hear and know all things. Behold! A woman of ‘Imran said: “O my Lord! I do dedicate unto Thee what is in my womb for Thy special service: So accept this of me: For Thou hear and know all things.” When she was delivered, she said: “O my Lord! Behold! I am delivered of a female child!” and Allah knew best what she brought forth- “And no wise is the male like the female. I have named her Mary, and I commend her and her offspring to Thy protection from the Evil One, the Rejected.” And her daughter Mary was taken cared by Zakariya as stated in Surah 3:37 Right graciously did her Lord accept her: He made her grow in purity and beauty: To the care of Zakariya was she assigned. And Mary the Mother of Jesus in the Quran is described as the relative and the descendent from the House of Aaron as confirmed by the Surah 19:27-28 At length she brought the (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: “O Mary! Truly an amazing thing hast thou brought! “O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!” And it is clear that she is not from the House of Moses but being a relative of Aaron or from the House of Aaron is supported by the Surah 2:248 And (further) their Prophet said to them: “A Sign of his authority is that there shall come to you the Ark of the covenant, with (an assurance) therein of security from your Lord, and the relics left by the family of Moses and the family of Aaron, carried by angels. In this is a symbol for you if ye indeed have faith.” These confirmation of Mary came as revelations inspired to the Prophet Muhammad as stated in Surah 3:44 This is part of the tidings of the things unseen, which We reveal unto thee (O Messenger!) by inspiration: Thou was not with them when they cast lots with arrows, as to which of them should be charged with the care of Mary: Nor was thou with them when they disputed (the point). Thus the Quran narrated the story of Mary the Mother of Jesus by Allah’s revelation to the Prophet Muhammad as a confirmation to what was being revealed in the Bible.

Further while the Quran confirmed the story of Mary it is also a “Muhaiminan” or it acts as a “Guardian” or “criterion” to monitor the truth over previous stories and in the case of Mary while it is quite similar that Mary’s mother was never mentioned by name in the Quran or the Bible, most of the story from Christian sources on the life of Mary was from the New Testament apocrypha rather than the Canonical Testament. It is stated in the Wikipedia that the New Testament tells little of Mary’s early history. John 19:25 states that Mary had a sister; semantically it is unclear if this sister is the same as Mary the wife of Clopas or if she is left unnamed. Jerome identifies Mary of Cleopas as the sister of Mary, mother of Jesus. According to the early second-century historian Hegesippus, Mary of Clopas was likely Mary’s sister-in-law, understanding Clopas (Cleophas) to have been Joseph’s brother. According to the writer of Luke, Mary was a relative of Elizabeth, wife of the priest Zechariah of the priestly division of Abijah, who was herself part of the lineage of Aaron and so of the tribe of Levi.[Luke 1:5;1:36] Some of those who consider that the relationship with Elizabeth was on the maternal side, consider that Mary, like Joseph, to whom she was betrothed, was of the House of David and so of the Tribe of Judah, and that the genealogy of Jesus presented in Luke 3 from Nathan, third son of David and Bathsheba, is in fact the genealogy of Mary, while the genealogy from Solomon given in Matthew 1 is that of Joseph. Thus in comparison between the Quran and the Bible the revelation to Prophet Muhammad showed no ambiguity.

Mary with the birth of Jesus

In another example the Quran confirmed previous scriptures and act as a guardian over it when it revealed that a daughter from the family of Imran Mary (Surah 3:36) in turn borne a son Jesus as stated in Surah 3:45 Behold! The angels said: “O Mary! Allah give thee glad tidings of a Word from Him: his name will be Christ Jesus, the son of Mary, held in honor in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest to Allah. But in Surah 3:47-49 She said: “O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man hath touched me?” He said: “Even so: Allah create what He will: When He hath decreed a plan, He but said to it, ‘Be,’ and it is!” And Allah will teach him the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel, “And (appoint him) an apostle to the Children of Israel, (with this message): “‘I have come to you, with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah’s leave: And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I quicken the dead, by Allah’s leave; and I declare to you what ye eat, and what ye store in your houses. Surely therein is a Sign for you if ye did believe.

Although the Quran confirmed the miraculous birth of Jesus of the Bible one can find very different situation being portrayed in the bible as giving contrary conclusion as stated in Luke 1:28-35 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, [thou that art] highly favored, the Lord [is] with thee: blessed [art] thou among women. And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be. And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. Then said Mary unto the angel, how shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. Here the difference is contrasting in the Bible Jesus is called the son of God while in the Quran Jesus is called the son of Mary as stated in Surah 5:110 Then will Allah say: “O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favor to thee and to thy mother. This different in statement lead to different in belief!

Jesus Mary’s son was kind to his mother

This is another account the Quran confirmed of previous scripture of Mary having a son Jesus who Allah made him kind to his mother as stated as stated in 19:30-32 He (Jesus) said: “I am indeed a servant of Allah. He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet; “And He hath made me blessed where so ever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live; “(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable. Judging from here in the Quran it can be observed that Jesus attitude to his mother is in harmony with the command of Allah as stated in Surah 17:23-24 Thy Lord hath decreed that ye worship none but Him, and that ye be kind to parents. Whether one or both of them attain old age in thy life, say not to them a word of contempt, nor repel them, but address them in terms of honor. And, out of kindness, lower to them the wing of humility, and say: “My Lord! Bestow on them thy Mercy even as they cherished me in childhood.” And in another matter in attitude and conduct to parents it is enjoined in Surah 31:14 And We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him, and in years twain was his weaning: (hear the command), “Show gratitude to Me and to thy parents: to Me is (thy final) Goal.

However Jesus in the Bible seems to be portrayed as a very rude son as not to show humility and kindness to his mother Mary by calling her “Woman” as stated in John 2:2-5 And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus saith unto him, they have no wine. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? Mine hour is not yet come. His mother saith unto the servants, whatsoever he saith unto you, do it. And the same when he addressed his mother in John 19:26-27 “When Jesus therefore saw his mother, and the disciple standing by, whom he loved, he saith unto his mother, Woman, behold thy son! Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home. On the contrary to the Muslims who follow Jesus and knows him from the Quran this is kind of a weird representation of a Prophet and a Messenger of God.

Mary and her son Jesus were mere mortals

In the Quran it is written explicitly that Jesus is a man and he was appointed as a prophet and a messenger of Allah and his mother was chosen as stated in Surah 3:42 Behold! The angels said: “O Mary! Allah hath chosen thee and purified thee- chosen thee above the women of all nations. Both were favored by Allah as stated in Surah 5:110 Then will Allah say: “O Jesus the son of Mary! Recount My favor to thee and to thy mother. Behold! I strengthened thee with the holy spirit, so that thou didst speak to the people in childhood and in maturity. Behold! I taught thee the Book and Wisdom, the Law and the Gospel and behold! Thou make out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, by My leave, and thou breath into it and it becomes a bird by My leave, and thou heal those born blind, and the lepers, by My leave. And behold! Thou bring forth the dead by My leave. And behold! I did restrain the Children of Israel from (violence to) thee when thou didst show them the clear Signs and the unbelievers among them said: ‘This is nothing but evident magic.’ It can be seen from the evidences of the Quran that being mortals both of them had to eat their daily food as in Surah 5:75 Christ the son of Mary was no more than a messenger; many were the messengers that passed away before him. His mother was a woman of truth. They had both to eat their (daily) food. See how Allah doth make His signs clear to them; yet see in what ways they are deluded away from the truth! Thus this is how the Quran confirmed the personalities of Mary and Jesus that the similarities can also be found as depicted in the Bible that they are also mortals as they have to eat as is stated at Luke 14:1 And it came to pass, as he went into the house of one of the chief Pharisees to eat bread on the Sabbath day, that they watched him. And again in Luke 24:41-43 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat? And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb. And he took it, and did eat before them. However the Quran as “guardian” over previous scripture did not acknowledge the man Jesus as a god besides Allah as confirmed in Surah 5:17 In blasphemy indeed are those that say that Allah is Christ the son of Mary. Say: “Who then hath the least power against Allah, if His will were to destroy Christ the son of Mary, his mother, and all every one that is on the earth? For to Allah belong the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between. He creates what He pleases. For Allah hath power over all things.”

These are some of the examples the Quran confirmed of previous scriptures and act as a “guardian” or quality control over what is falsified and give the true narration of events of the past which is revealed to last Prophet Muhammad to enlighten the world as stated in Surah 34:28 We have not sent thee but as a universal (Messenger) to men, giving them glad tidings, and warning them (against sin), but most men understand not. And in Surah 4:174 O mankind! Verily there hath come to you a convincing proof from your Lord: For We have sent unto you a light (that is) manifest. Further in Surah 10:108 Say: “O ye men! Now Truth hath reached you from your Lord! Those who receive guidance, do so for the good of their own souls; those who stray, do so to their own loss: and I am not (set) over you to arrange your affairs.” Finally it is stated in Surah 35:31 That which We have revealed to thee of the Book is the Truth, confirming what was (revealed) before it: for Allah is assuredly- with respect to His Servants – well acquainted and Fully Observant.
